By predicting and suggesting addresses as users type, the address autocomplete feature minimizes the effort and time required for form completion, reducing input errors and improvoing overall accuracy. This is particularly vital in e-commerce, logistics, insurance, and any industry that relies on capturing the precise address data while going through a dynamic call script.
Address autocomplete offers real-time address suggestions as users type, making form filling quicker and more accurate. By default this feature is configured for US and Canada addresses. Although your account is configured to use this feature with a rate limit, you should obtain a Google API key and request Yonyx to configure it for your Yonyx subdomain before ramping up your usage of this feature.
Please contact us to request configuration for addresses in any other country or region of the world.
How Address Autocomplete Works
The Yonyx platform leverages specific field names (Yonyx Placeholders) to enable the Address autocomplete functionality. When these recognized placeholders are used in your forms, the system automatically populates the relevant address components into the corresponding fields.
Here’s a breakdown of supported field names for US/Canada addresses:
addr-line-1: Street address - e.g. 123 Beautiful Way.
addr-line-2: Additional identifiers - e.g. Unit 325.
city: City or town, e.g. San Jose
state: State or province, e.g. CA
county: County, e.g. Santa Clara County
country: Country, e.g. USA
postal-code: ZIP Code, e.g. 95110
Here’s a breakdown of ALL supported field names. Use these fields if you have requested Yonyx to configure your account or a line of business (LOB) for a non-US/Canada region:
building-name: Building or property name.
unit-number: A specific unit or suite number within a building.
street-number: The precise street number of a location.

Form Configuration
Configuring a form (Yonyx Command) with the following fields to utilize the Address Autocomplete feature for US/Canada addresses:
Field Name | Field Type |
addr-line-1 | Address Autocomplete |
addr-line-2 | Textbox |
city | Textbox |
state | Textbox |
country | Textbox |
postal-code | Textbox |
To activate the Address Autocomplete feature, ensure your address input fields are named using placeholders names listed above. For example, you should name your primary address field addr-line-1, and additional fields as city, state, country, and postal-code.
Using Address Autocomplete
As a user types into the addr-line-1 field, the Address Autocomplete feature will display a list of matching addresses. Upon selecting an address from this list, the system will populate the city, state, country, and zip fields with the corresponding values from the selected address.
Single Field Form: If the form contains a single field (e.g., full-address), the system will populate this field with the entire visible address.
Multiple Fields Form: If the form includes multiple fields such as addr-line-1, addr-line-2, city, state, country, postal-code, etc., the system will automatically populate these fields with the corresponding values from the selected address.
